I was far from being the most advanced in computer science at my high school. Because I had started taking CS classes fairly late (junior year as opposed to freshman year like most), I never got a chance to do many of the same things my peers had in class. For instance, many of my classmates took a class called Mobile Application Development, a part of which included building their own portfolios as an introduction to React.
Scrolling through some of these webpages in my free time, and after doing some research on modern day web development, I realized in late May that it would be incredibly worth my time to understand React and how to use it to build a website. So, I decided to make a portfolio of my own.
